PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit the wide band properties of a stacked loop antenna element itself sufficiently while sustaining the directivity of a stacked loop antenna commonly used presently. SOLUTION: The antenna unit comprises two 2L antenna elements 1 and 2 forming two loop antenna elements, a feeder line 4 for transmitting power to each 2L antenna element 1, 2, and a coaxial tube 3 interposed between each 2L antenna element 1, 2, and the feeder line 4 while dividing the feeder line 4 into two branches being connected directly with the feeding point of each 2L antenna element 1, 2 and having a characteristic impedance equal to two times that of the feeder line 4 and substantially equal to the impedance of each 2L antenna element 1, 2.
