PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of industrially advantageously producing VPI-5 or crystalline aluminophosphate related thereto with high purity, and to provide crystalline aluminophosphate. SOLUTION: In the production method, at least one kind of hydroxyalkylamine compound expressed by the general formula of NR1 R2 R3 (1) (wherein, R1 , R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen, a 1 to 4C linear or branched chain alkyl group or a 1 to 4C linear or branched chain hydroxyalkyl group having a hydroxy group; and at least one among the R1 , R2 and R3 denotes the above hydroxyalkyl group) is used.
