PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork for a motorcycle preventing loafing and missing of a damping force, securing a precise position dependency of the damping force and capable of providing the stable damping force in the front fork. SOLUTION: This front fork 10 for the motorcycle is provided with a damper cylinder 16 attached to a body side tube 11 and formed with an oil chamber in its inside and a piston rod 20 attached to a wheel side tube 12 and sliding inside the damper cylinder 16 via a piston 42. This front fork is formed with an orifice groove 70 in the internal circumference of the damper cylinder 16 in the axial direction extending from the extension end side of the piston 42 to an approximately half of the whole stroke.
