PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable cellulosic plant-containing product maintaining for a long period the initial properties peculiar to cellulosic plant-containing products such as color tone, touch feeling, fragrance and appearance, and capable of suppressing its deformation, discoloration and offensive odor emission due to laundering or washing with water. SOLUTION: The method for stabilizing the cellulosic plant-containing product comprises putting the product to formaldehyde vapor processing to suppress the deterioration of the initial properties thereof. The cellulosic plant-containing product thus stabilized has a color differenceΔL*(=L*1-L*0) of <=3.0 determined by JIS L-0217 103 Standard (wherein, the color difference is the difference between the L*-value prior to laundering and that after five times of laundering, and L*0 and L*1 are the L*-values prior to laundering and after five times of laundering, respectively). |
