PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive-containing polymer mixing apparatus which can homogeneously mix a base polymer with an additive incompatible with the base polymer, can well maintain the physical properties and productivity of the base polymer, even the polymer containing the additive is supplied to a melt-spinning process, and can further improve the filament breakage occurrence and windability of spun filaments on the melt-spinning of the mixed polymer. SOLUTION: The extending mixing method comprises carrying out at least two extending flow operations each of which comprises dividing a melt flow comprising an additive-containing polymer into a plurality of branched flows, causing an extending flowing in the each branched flow to extend the additive contained in the base polymer in the flowing direction, and thereby micronizing the additive in the base polymer. The additive-containing polymer is prepared by mixing the base polymer comprising a thermoplastic resin with the additive incompatible with the base polymer. An extending mixing apparatus is also provided.
