PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous hot dip coating device for band steel, a device that enables a line to be switched without stopping the line when a solution of chemical conversion treatment is changed during the operation and that enables two layers of chemical conversion treatment. SOLUTION: A chemical conversion treatment section 14 is equipped serially with a first and second chemical conversion treatment devices 35, 36. In the first device 35, there are arranged a first chemical conversion treatment roll coater 42 for applying the solution to the front and the back of a hot dip coated band steel 1, a first chemical conversion treatment oven 43 for drying the solution, and a first cooling equipment 44 for cooling the band steel, in this order. In the second device 36, there are arranged a second chemical conversion treatment roll coater 49, a second chemical conversion treatment oven 50, and a second cooling equipment 51, in the order described.
