STYRENIC RESIN FOAMED BODY AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a styrenic resin foamed body as a building heat insulating material that is inhibited from causing melt dripping and retains its shape to some extent even in case where it has been in contact with flames for a long period of time and exposed to high temperatures for a long period of time and that is excellent in flame retardancy and also excellent in recyclability because the foamed body is made of a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: The styrenic resin foamed body is produced by incorporating one or more compounds selected form a phenolic resin having thermoplasticity, a triazine skeleton-containing compound, a phosphorus compound and polyhydricalcohols into a styrenic resin composition comprising a styrenic ionomer (and optionally, other styrenic resin). Especially, in case of the use of a non-halogen compound as each of the components as mentioned above, the foamed body extremely excellent in adaptability to environment can be provided.
