PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an off-line print function using a removable storage medium. SOLUTION: When a memory card storing a print job command file and an image data file is inserted into a PC card slot 89, a CPU 85 analyzes the print job command file and performs setting required for the control circuit at a laser printer section or a sorter section. With reference to an image data file name in the print job command file, the CPU 85 reads in that file from the memory card and prints it. When the image data is compressed, the CPU 85 develops it into a page memory 84 using a compression/decompression circuit 86. When print out specified in the print job command file is finished entirely, the CPU 85 erases the print job command file and the image data file stored in the memory card. |
