PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device for a molten metal flow which can shorten man-hours and time for setting when the detecting device for the molten metal flow is set to a mold. SOLUTION: The detecting device for the molten metal flow is provided with the first to the tenth transmitters 16a-16j which can transmit a radio wave having specific frequency, a receiver 18 which can receive each radio wave from the first to the tenth transmitters 16a-16j, and a measuring device 19 electrically connected to the receiver 18. Recessed parts 17 are formed at respective detecting parts 15 for the molten metal flow of the sand mold 11, and the first to the tenth transmitters 16a-16j are set to the recessed parts 17. In this case, the transmitters are set so as to be in a state that one end faces of the first to the tenth transmitters 16a-16j are exposed on a cavity face 14a inside the sand mold 11.
