PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs and prevent the deterioration of productivity. SOLUTION: The position of a printing plate 12 in the right direction on a plate feeding guide 20 is set by conveying the printing plate 12 to the right by a conveying pin 42 so as to hit a reference pin 36. The reference pin 36 in a home position and the conveying pin 42 in a home position are separated by a distance L. A control device 74 calculates a distance M by which the reference pin 36 moves until it reaches a prescribed position, based an the number of the drive pulse of a pulse motor 72, and a distance N by which the conveying pin 42 moves the printing plate 12 to hit the reference pin 36, based on the number of the drive pulse of a pulse motor 82, and further calculates the value L-M-N to detect the length W of the printing plate 12 in the right and left direction. Thus, the positioning of the printing plate 12 in the right and left direction and the direction of the size of the printing plate 12 are performed to reduce costs and prevent the deterioration of productivity. |
