PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more strictly perform the evaluation of a defective factor even for an object to be inspected wherein a cyclic light and shade pattern appears in a photographed image, in the optical member inspection method in an image inspection device for inspecting the quality of an optical member such as a lens or the like. SOLUTION: In the optical member inspection method, an image is divided into a plurality of parts in parallel to the direction of the light and shade change of the light and shade pattern of the image, and, with respect to each of the divided images, the average value in a horizontal direction with respect to the direction of the light and shade change of the light and shade pattern is taken to form one-dimensional data and the formed one-dimensional data is converted to a spectrum distribution and the eminent component generated in a frequency band with predetermined frequency or more is removed to inversely convert the one-dimensional data and the one-dimensional data encoded as a result of inverse convertion is used to evaluate the quality of the object to be inspected. |
