<p>The invention relates to a method and a device for cooling ladle slag and/or converter slag by means of heat abstraction. According to the invention, the slag is cast in a collecting container, and at least one immersion body consisting of copper or a copper alloy is then immersed into the slag which is still in a liquid form. The low temperature of the immersion body enables it to absorb part of the heat of the slag. Once the heat compensation is at least essentially completed, the immersion body is removed from the slag.</p> |
