The seat (4) can be pivoted between an essentially horizontal position and a forwards-sloping position and it can also be raised and lowered between upper and lower positions, preferably using an electric actuator (2). The chair frame is provided with four wheels (12, 14), at least two of which are rotatable about essentially vertical axes.
