A fastener (10) has legs (12a, 12b) biased apart by biasing means (14). In use, a cable or the like is received within the biaising means (14), and the legs (12) are squeezed together and inserted in a hole in a wall or ceiling. The biasing force of the biasing means (14) retains the fastener (10) within the hole; optionally, the legs (12) may be provided with spikes (16) angled to resist removal.
