STABILIZED COMPOSITION OF AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF REDUCED COENZYME Q

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a preservation method for maintaining an aqueous solution of a reduced coenzyme Q more stably against oxidation because the reduced coenzyme Q expected to have a high utility as an antioxidant is known to be hydrophobic, easily oxidizable and unstable. SOLUTION: The reduced coenzyme Q can stably be maintained in the aqueous solution for a long period by adding an antioxidant such as vitamin C, or a chelating agent such as ethylenediamine tetraacetate to the aqueous solution of the reduced coenzyme Q.
