PRINT HEAD CLEANING APPARATUS AND INK JET PRINTER BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A print head cleaning apparatus and an ink jet printer equipped with the same are provided to prevent an ink spraying nozzle of a print head from clogging by creating a cleaning liquid column through a high frequency wave. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet printer includes a main frame(10) having a guide shaft(11). A carriage(20) is movably installed on the guide shaft(11). A print head is provided at a lower portion of the carriage(20). A cleaning unit(40) is provided to clean an ink spraying nozzle of the printer head. A base frame(13) is installed under the guide shaft(11) of the main frame(10). The carriage(20) is reciprocated on the guide shaft(11) by means of a conveying device. The printer head spraying ink onto a paper passing through an upper portion of the base frame(13) so as to print an image on the paper. A storing tank(41) is installed on the main frame(10) corresponding to a cleaning position.
