PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can improve the operation ability to prevent erroneous copying by reading, when the memory is full, the additional image data after the images already read are destroyed. SOLUTION: When document read operation is started (S300, 301), a document is totally read (S302; Y) and the additional document mode is set (S303; Y), the additional document read operation is started (S304). Here, when the memory-full state is detected (S305; Y) and the final image already read is not the image before the inserted page (S306; Y), the final image already read is destroyed (S307) and the additional document read operation is started again with the priority. When the memory is not full (S305; N) and the additional document is totally read (S308; Y), printing of the document image stored in the internal memory is started to complete the process (S309). |
