<p>An energysaving fluorescent lamp, consisting of an electronic ballast circuit and a preheatable fluorescent bulb. Each filament is parallel connected to a voltage-limiter, and said ballast has a high voltage trigger circuitry for increasing the peak voltage of the oscillation output of the power source. As long as the filament is still complete, said ballast starts the bulb by traditional pre-heating. After the filament is broken the starting capacitor can still be charged, and the bulb be started by the higher voltage in the cold cathode mode. The resonant circuitry is formed by a choke and the starting capacitor raises said peak voltage by a factor of two to excite and start the bulb. Therefore, independent of the state of the filament, the material of the coating on the filament can be used to complete elimination. This will elongate the lamps lifecycle up to three times.</p> |
