PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic suspension device capable of suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: A function of a function correction processing part 80 is corrected by suspension speed and displacement based on a detection signal of a position sensor, and thereby control force (propulsive force or damping force) of a suspension unit 2 is adjusted. Control force can be generated with high accuracy and in a wide range, as compared with a conventional technique in which a control forcestroke speed characteristic is uniform because an adjustment in a control force generating region can be performed according to suspension speed and displacement. Further, the range of a regeneration region can be widened since control force can be generated according to a traveling state and thereby reduction of power consumption can be easily executed. Power consumption of the whole of the vehicle can be easily suppressed to below a fixed value to prevent a battery exhaustion and heating of a power cable.
