PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branched polyoxymethylene copolymer excellent in productivity, considerably enhanced in rigidity and creep properties without using a reinforcing material, exhibiting enhanced thermal stability, remarkably excellent in dimensional accuracy and giving a molten matter excellent in flowability enough to easily form a molded article excellent also in external appearances, and its resin composition. SOLUTION: The branched polyoxymethylene copolymer comprises an oxymethylene unit (-CH2 O-), obtained by copolymerization, using a cationic polymerization catalyst, of 100 pts.mass of trioxane (a), 0.001-20 pts.mass of a monofunctional glycidyl compound (b) and 0-10 pts. mass of a cyclic ether and/or a cyclic formal (c), and an oxyalkylene unit represented by general formula (1) (wherein n>=1; R<0> is hydrogen or an organic group having a molecular weight of 15-2,000), where the ratio of the unit of general formula (1) where n is 1 is at least 95 mole% of the total oxyalkylene units and the ratio of the unit of general formula (1) where n is two or more is less than 5 mole% of the total oxyalkylene units. |
