DEVICE FOR REMOVING SAND INCLUDED IN PUMPED UP GROUND WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove and recover the sand included in pumped up ground water without hindering the flow of the pumped up ground water with simple constitution without installing a large-scale water tank for grit on the ground. SOLUTION: A sand separating box 2 is arranged in the middle of a series of flow passages 1 for pumping up and passing the ground water. The upper part in the sand separating box 2 is provided with an inflow section 3 into which the pumped up ground water flows and a drainage section 5 which faces the inflow section 3 across a clearance 4. An opening 7 for drainage stretched and installed with a net 6 is formed on the surface of the drainage section 5, which surface faces the inflow section 3. The opening 7 for drainage stretched and installed with the net 6 is inclined to be parted increasingly from the inflow section 3 toward the lower side. The lower part in the sand separating box 2 is provided with a grit section 8. The lower part of the grit section 8 is provided with a sand discharge section 10 having opening and closing means 9.
