PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp lighting control method and a device for the same having few number of parts and simple structure enabled to restrain a rush current flowing when a plurality of lamps are lighted, and enabled to light a plurality of lamps within short period. SOLUTION: An alternating current is inputted into a direct current power source circuit 56, and the output converted from the alternating current into a direct current by the direct current power source circuit 56, is inputted into a plurality of inverter circuits 52a-52n through a harness 60. An inverter control panel 54 outputs lighting control signals 62a-62n, making cold cathode tubes 42a-42n light, to respective inverter circuits 52a-52n. The inverter control panel 54 successively turns on the lighting control signals 62a-62n within a shortest period necessary for stabilizing the rush current flowing when respective cold cathode tubes 42a-42n are lighted. |
