<p>A lubricating oil composition which is highly effective in wearing prevention and prevents pitching to attain an improved fatigue life. It is usable especially as an automotive transmission oil. The composition comprises a lube base oil and incorporated therein: (A) 0.02 to 0.1 wt.% ash-free boron compound dispersant in terms of boron amount based on the whole lubricating oil composition; (B) at least 0.01 wt.% alkaline earth metal compound cleaning agent having a total base number of 0 to 500 mgKOH/g, in terms of alkaline earth metal amount based on the whole lubricating oil composition; and (C) an alkali metal borate or a hydrate thereof.</p> |
