A wrapping machine for a large baler has a support frame (21) attached to the rear of the baler, either as a rigid fitting or including a joint (56, 57) which allows the wrapping machine to negotiate uneven ground. For handling heavy bales additional support wheels can be fitted to the wrapping machine. For normal application the wrapping machine is supported on the baler, whose rear wheels (7) are set towards the back of the baler chassis. The bales are taken from the rear of the baler and moved rearwards and upwards to a wrapping table. The wrapping action is via overhead wrapping arms (24) and the wrapped bale is dropped onto the field. |
