PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize high reliability when ID information is reproduced by making it possible to correct a channel bit or word even if a defect is caused. SOLUTION: In a burst cutting area inside a data area where contents data of an optical disk are recorded, ID information unique to the disk is recorded. The burst cutting area is equally divided into (n) to form (n) blocks. Each block is further sectioned into (m) frames. Then each frame is divided into (k) and the ID information is recorded with (k) channel bits. In each block, disk ID information in ECC format constituted by adding of 12-byte parity to 16-byte disk ID information is recorded.
