PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system data management method, a device and a program reinforcing cooperation of the device and a directory service, constructing a flexible network system and reducing a management cost which tends to increase, and a storage medium. SOLUTION: The device 121 connected to the network system for which a directory server 111 providing a directory service is arranged on a network accesses the directory server 111, acquires prescribed information, fetches information registered in the directory server as system data inside the device and executes functions of the device by using the fetched information.
