<p>Below ground (140) kits for controlling arthropods such as termites, ants, and roaches (159). A non-edible foraging matrix, such as a disc of soil, sand, rocks, shale, and gravel treated with slow acting and non-repellant toxicants, are placed inside a chamber (100) having an edible wall of wood, paper, cellulose material, foam, and plastic (110). Arthropods eat their way inside and take the toxicant out to be killed later. The chamber can be placed into another chamber having an edible wall for the easy handling of the foraging matrixes. Outer frames formed from materials such as rust resistant metal, plastics having openings allowing arthropods to pass to the inside chamber. Stakes can be used for ground insertion. Another version has alternating layers of foraging matrix and slow-acting toxicant with layers of non-toxic edible/attractant materials to allow for treating different arthropods.</p> |
