PURPOSE: A system for connecting to a web site of a wireless Internet using a portable wireless telephone and a method therefor are provided to easily connect to a desired web site using an ARS(Automatic Response System) telephone number in the portable wireless telephone. CONSTITUTION: A user operates a keypad of a portable wireless terminal, inputs an ARS telephone number with the number of predetermined figures, and connects to a server of an ARS(S201). The server of the ARS retrieves the ARS telephone number and a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) address of a web site corresponding to the ARS telephone number from a database, and transmits the ARS telephone number and the URL address to a short message switching center(S202). The short message switching center transmits a previously stored voice message to which the URL address of the web site is attached to the portable wireless telephone(S203). After a telephone call is disconnected, the short message switching center automatically displays a guiding mention on a display window of the portable wireless telephone(S204). If the user of the portable wireless telephone selects a send key(S205), the portable wireless telephone connects to a server of the desired web site through a BSC(Base Station Controller), an MSC(Mobile Switching Center), an IWF(Inter Working Function), the Internet, and a server of a WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway(S206). |
