PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production plan and a sales system making it possible to consume, with minimal losses, excessive parts inventory and excessive parts due in of a product whose production is determined to end. SOLUTION: The computer-based production plan and sales system are adapted to consume, with minimal losses, the extra parts in stock of the product that is no longer in production. The production plan and sales system include a system for producing and selling the product by calculating and setting the planned number of units to be sold and the sales price of the product which will maximize the number of orders while securing a certain profit, based on additional order value information and demand forecast information indicating the relationship between the number of units produced of the product and the value of additional orders of the parts needed for production, and another system for providing payback based on a difference between the cost of additional orders of the parts at calculation of the planned number of units to be sold and the cost of the additional orders of the parts at placement of an order from a customer, if the number of units for which customers have placed orders through a network is less than the number of units to be sold. |
