<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make correctable the deviation in a light projection direction of laser light projected by an object detecting apparatus. SOLUTION: The laser light, which is projected from a laser radar 3 of the object detecting apparatus 2 attached at a prescribed height h in an own vehicle 1 traveling left to right, is reflected with an overhead mark 41 and received with the laser radar 3. Then the object detecting apparatus 2 continues to calculate the distance to the overhead mark 41. The object detecting apparatus 2 specifies the distance L1 to the overhead mark 41 and then calculates the angle of the upper end 31 of the laser light to parallel lines 51 based on the installation height H of the overhead mark 41 and the installation height h of the object detecting apparatus 2 at a moment when the overhead mark 41 goes the outside of the light projection range of the laser light, that is, the upper end 31 of the laser light passes through the lower end b of the overhead mark 41. The object detecting apparatus 2 subtracts an angleΘ/from the calculated to determine an angle of an optical axis 33 to parallel lines 51, and thereby the dislocation of the optical axis is determined and then compensated.</p> |
