PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate work to hold a vertically split rod-like food material piece one by one and feed, and to realize the reduction of cost by improving production efficiency and labor saving. SOLUTION: The vertically split burdock piece feeder is provided with a cylindrical holder 2 which holds a burdock E inside and in which a working opening is provided on the side face, a burdock feed means 1 which can successively feed the burdock E to the cylindrical holder 2, a turning means 3 which turns the burdock E around an axial center X1 with prescribed pitches, a cutter of which the cutting edge enters into the axial center X1 of the burdock E and makes a cut over the whole length of the burdock E, and a take-out means 5 in which a cut-off vertically split burdock piece e is pierced by four needles 51, pulled out from a take-out port 21 of the cylindrical holder 2 and carried to a front dropping feed means 7. |
