SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HOME APPLIANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide home appliance control system/method which solve a problem on the number of connectable home appliances and the limitation of a distance when the home appliances are connected with a network and which can inexpensively and efficiently control the home appliances. SOLUTION: Communication modules incorporated in the home appliances which convert information in an 'Ethernet (R)' standard format into a home appliance standard format are connected to a general telephone network which is previously constructed in a building through adapters so that they can mutually transmit/receive information. For installing the home electronic appliances which are to be controlled through the network, the existing telephone network can be used without constructing a specific private line and therefore cost is reduced. Since a plurality of home appliances can be connected through the adapters without the limitation of the distance, the home appliances in the building can efficiently be controlled.
