PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine program preparing device by which a pattern under sewing is displayed during the conduction of cycle sewing and a pattern is changed-over into a succeeding time sewing pattern when respective cycle sewing works are ended and is displayed. SOLUTION: A parameter setting means sets a plurality of parameters in a sewing program and a display means displays the set parameters. A program storage means stores a plurality of sewing programs where the whole or a part of the parameters are differed. A cycle sewing setting means sets the arrangement order of the sewing programs for performing cycle sewing through the use of the whole or a part of the sewing programs among the stored programs and the display means displays the pattern and the program number of an object to be sewed under sewing at present during the cycle sewing. When sewing by the respective sewing programs is completed, the display of the pattern and the program number is changed-over into the display of the pattern and the program number of the succeeding pattern to be sewed.
