A peak sensing section (104) determines a first peak timing at which the correlation with a first synchronous channel is the largest. An SSCH identifying section (108) adds the correlations of a second synchronous channel at a plurality of timings to identify the second synchronous channel and determines a second peak timing at which the sum of the correlations of the identified second channel is the largest. A timing control section (105) sends the timing at which the correlation is calculated to the SSCH identifying section (108) according to the first and second peak timings. A frequency correction section (110) calculates the error with respect to the one−frame time clocked by a base station device according to the first and second peak timings and converts the error to a frequency difference so as to change the frequency of an oscillator in a reception RF section (102) to correct the frequency difference. Consequently, even if there is an error of the clocked one−frame time between the cell searcher and the base station device, the second synchronous channel and the mid−amble can be identified with high accuracy. |
