PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce switching losses produced by switching devices in an electric vehicle power supply apparatus and to improve a conversion efficiency of the apparatus in a high frequency switching state. SOLUTION: An inverter circuit comprises four switching devices SA, SB, SC, and SD connected to a full bridge. The inverter circuit is controlled so as to have the switching devices SA, SB, SC, and SD turned on or off when voltages or currents applied to the switching devices SA, SB, SC, and SD are zero.
