<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering locking device capable of improving the safety of an occupant by suppressing influence on the occupant to a prescribed value or less at the collision or the like of a vehicle without increasing the number of parts while ensuring antitheft performance. SOLUTION: A first part 7 fixed to the vehicle body 11 side of a locking support part 5 is provided, and a rupture inducing part 9 for inducing rupture by a prescribed impact force is provided between the fixed part 7 and a connection part 8 to allow the upward rotation of the steering locking device 1 by causing damage by the rupture inducing part 9 even when the occupant's knee 14 interferes at the collision of the vehicle. Safety can thereby be improved suppressing the influence on the occupant to the prescribed value or less without increasing the number of parts. Moreover, since the rupture inducing part 9 is set between the fixed part 7 and the connection part 8, a damaged part is on the locking support part 5 side, and even if a third person intentionally causes damage during the parking stop of the vehicle, antitheft performance can be ensured without impairing the locking function of a locking member 6 to a steering shaft 3.</p> |
