RECOMBINANT PROTEIN WITH ANTIGENICITY AGAINST MALARIAL ANTIBODY AND DIAGNOSIS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are a recombinant protein with antigenicity against a malarial antibody and the diagnosis of malaria infection by inspecting an antigen-antibody complex by the reaction of a malarial antibody and a test sample desired to be examined. CONSTITUTION: The recombinant protein includes the amino acid sequence of the SEQ ID NO:2 translated from the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, and has antigenicity against a malarial antibody. It is a fusion protein having a molecular weight of 27.5kDa. A recombinant vector contains the nucleotide sequence of the SEQ ID NO:1 and expresses the recombinant protein in a host cell. The recombinant protein is manufactured by the steps of: cloning DNA segments related to merozoite surface protein(MSP) by PCR with primer 1 and primer 2; inserting the cloned gene into an expression vector to manufacture a recombinant vector; transforming a host cell with the recombinant vector then followed by selecting and culturing a transformant; and separating the recombinant protein.
