PURPOSE: To provide a reverse game apparatus with high game sense in which a new strategic sense can be added to the conventional game and elements of inversion are incorporated until the last moment when the game is ended. CONSTITUTION: The reverse game apparatus is provided with a means 3 for displaying a game board 31 sectioned into individual piece placing positions with a plurality of lines and rows on a screen and a means for placing a piece 32 with a designated color or pattern at a specified piece placing position according to a piece placing input specifying the piece placing position and a means S1 for moving a piece in a specified line or row against a piece in another line or row according to a shifting input specifying a line or a row, a judging means S15 for judging whether the piece placed by the piece placing input or moved by the piece shifting input pinches a piece with another color or pattern between it and another piece with the same color or pattern and a means S17 for changing the pinched piece into the same color or pattern as the color or pattern of the pinching pieces are provided.
