PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor capable of being made compact by dispensing with a sensor magnet, a motor which is inexpensive and excellent in response property. SOLUTION: In the brushless motor comprising a core 9 constituted of non- rotatably disposed magnetic bodies, with a plurality of teeth 9d provided extending radially and an excitation coil 11 wound around the teeth 9d, a rotatably disposed rotor (shaft 5) to which a magnet 7 is secured in such a way as to oppose the tip end parts 9g of the teeth 9d, Hall elements 17 that detect the variations of magnetic field caused by the rotation of the magnet 7 in accompaniment of the rotation of the rotor, and an ECU base board 13 that detects the rotating position of the rotor based on the output signals of the Hall elements 17 and rotate-drives the rotor by switching the excitation timing of the excitation coil 11, bottomed housing holes 9a are provided in the teeth 9a while the Hall elements 17 are embedded within the bottomed housing holes 9a.
