<p>A hearing aid (10) with a test manager (44) for detection of a defect in the signal path of the hearing aid is provided. The test manager controls a test stimulus generator (40) and a probe (42) for determination of a signal parameter, such as signal level, frequency spectrum, phase characteristic, auto-correlation, cross-correlation, etc. A set of signal switches 361, 362,..., 36p) controlled by the test manager is provided for connecting a selected test stimulus generator or a selected probe to a selected point in the signal path for testing of a selected part of the hearing aid. Signal switches (18) are provided for coupling hearing aid components into and out of the signal path of the hearing aid.</p> |
