COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND RADIO COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal, by which transmission power control errors in a base station can be decreased, when the base station conducts diversity reception by using a plurality of antennas. SOLUTION: The base station uses spread codes orthogonal to each other, so as to apply spread processing to distributed data and transmits the data from different antennas. Inverse spread sections 202, 203 of the mobile station apply inverse spread processings to the received signal by using the same code as the spread code used by the base station; demodulation sections 204, 205 demodulate the signal subjected to inverse spread processing, reception power measurement sections 207, 208 measure the power received from the demodulation result; a reception power synthesis section 209 synthesizes the measured reception powers; and a transmission power control section 212 controls the transmission power on the basis of the synthesized reception power.
