PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of label attachment to an article in a label attachment system. SOLUTION: According to the label attachment system 1, in the course of the transfer of articles, a printed out label 3 is held on a label holding face 13 by a label attachment unit 9, and the label 3 is then attached to a label attachment face of the article. In the system, the part of sheet transfer passage 17 ranging from a printing part 22 of a label printer 8, which is arranged so as to face the label attachment face of the article on transfer, to a bent part 24 of a peeling-off body 23, is set to be parallel with the label holding face 13 of the label attachment unit 9. In this manner, the label 3 can be issued out in parallel with the label holding face 13 of the label attachment unit 9.
