PURPOSE: An electronic component conveying apparatus is provided to maintain a constant position of the electronic component during conveying, while allowing for ease of detachment of electronic components. CONSTITUTION: An electronic component conveying apparatus(1) comprises a tape(2) having component holes(10) formed at a constant spacing along the lengthwise direction of the tape; driving units(4a,4b) for driving the tap in the lengthwise direction; a cutter unit(6) for cutting the tape between the adjacent component holes where electronic components are received; and a separation unit for separating cut tape pieces. Each of component holes has a pair of edges contacting the side surface of the electronic component; and lead-in spaces formed in the edges.
