PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for readily carrying out a genetic analysis without carrying out complex operation. SOLUTION: This method for detecting the nucleic acid comprises a step for carrying out a PCR reaction or a reverse transcription reaction by adding a template nucleic acid on a solid carrier having an immobilized nucleic acid, and a step for hybridizing the nucleic acid immobilized on the solid carrier with the nucleic acid synthesized by the PCR reaction or the transverse transcription reaction.
