PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clipping device for an endoscope which can be manufactured at a low cost, by which excellent indwelling property is obtained by preventing an indwelled clip from coming off simply from an affected part by the action of external force, etc. SOLUTION: In the clipping device for the endoscope in which the clip 2 formed to open and close by deforming the vicinity of a base end connection part 2c by a pair of arm part 2a connected on the side of the base end and a clip-closing ring 6 for keeping the arm parts 2a in a closed state by engaging it with the part 2c of the clip 2 are arranged detachably from a sheath 1 in the vicinity of the tip of the sheath 1, inward protrusions 2g made by embossing and holes 2h generated by forming of the protrusions are formed at each of the pair of arm parts 2a of the clip 2.
