<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit for a portable terminal device which does not need a commercial power source or a dry battery. SOLUTION: This power unit 10 for a power terminal device is a power unit for a PDA, provides a plate-like secondary battery 12 and a solar power generation panel 14 on the both surfaces of a supporting board 16, and has a plate-like power generating device 18 for charging the secondary battery with power generated by the solar power generation panel. The secondary battery is inserted into a slot of a portable terminal device, and the secondary battery is made to function as the power source of the portable terminal device. The solar power generation panel is a panel where many solar batteries area arranged and converts light energy into electric energy with the solar batteries. The secondary battery is a plate-like lithium polymer type secondary battery and stores power generated by the power generating device. When the power unit is connected to a PDA, the secondary battery is inserted into a slot of the PDA. The secondary battery functions as auxiliary power of the PDA and can also charge a secondary battery of the PDA. The slot is also used as an insertion slot for IC recording media.</p> |
