The invention concerns a transmodulator for digital television receiver. The invention also concerns a television receiver equipped with same. The invention is characterised in that a transmodulator (2) is connected to a ground antenna (1) and to the satellite digital television antenna pickup of a DVB-S standard television receiver (5) or of a cable digital television of a DVB-S standard television receiver as the case may be. The transmodulator comprises means for decoding DVB-T standard terrestrial television broadcasting and for re-coding them in accordance with the target digital television receiver standard: by cable (DVB-C) or by satellite (DVB-S). The invention is applicable to digital television receivers.
