PURPOSE: A multi air conditioner is provided to appropriately control amount of heat exchange medium supplied to each of indoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a compressor(210) compressing heat exchange medium; an outdoor heat exchanger connected to an outlet of the compressor; a plurality of indoor heat exchangers(251,252) connected to the outdoor heat exchanger through circulation passages; first solenoid valves(241,243) and a second solenoid valves(242,244) installed on pipelines between the indoor heat exchangers and the outdoor heat exchanger to intermit flow of the heat exchange medium; first capillaries(231,232) and second capillaries(233,234) installed on the pipelines between the indoor heat exchangers and the outdoor heat exchanger to reduce pressure of the heat exchange medium; a four-way valve(260) installed to the outlet of the compressor to determine heating/cooling operation by controlling flowing direction of the heat exchange medium circulated in the compressor, the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchangers; a first bypass device bypassing part of heat exchange medium discharged from the compressor to the outdoor heat exchanger on operating for one room for heating; and a second bypass device bypassing part of the heat exchange medium discharged from the compressor to an inlet of the compressor on operating for one room for cooling. |
