PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve optical output coupling oriented to the front in a semiconductor module equipped with a reflector. SOLUTION: An LED 22 is fixed to a platform 25 at the top of the reflector 23. The reflector has an elliptical shape. A chip is arranged near the focus of the reflector. A cover 32 has the shape of a lens in the central part. Over the whole opening of the reflector, a radiation characteristic distributed uniformly at a high output is obtained.
