PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for measuring DC superimposing characteristic of inductor for choke coil by which DC superimposing characteristic can be easily measured in measurement condition nearly equivalent to actual usage condition. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pulse oscillator 2 to generate pulse voltage, diodes 14 and 16 to rectify the pulse voltage, a voltmeter 22 and an ammeter 24 that detect pulse voltage applied to an inductor 6 for choke coil to be measured and current flowing therein respectively and output respective detection signals, a waveform generating part 26 that inputs the respective detection signals from the voltmeter 22 and the ammeter 24, and generates and outputs respective waveform data, and a computation part 28 that inputs the respective waveform data from the waveform generating part 26 and calculates inductance of the inductor 6 for choke coil on the basis of the respective waveform data.
